Spay/neuter is the single most effective tool in achieving the end of space or resource-based euthanasia in municipal animal shelters. In just a few years, two adult dogs or cats can produce thousands of puppies or kittens. Do your part to help reduce the number of homeless animals in your community- spay or neuter your pet(s)!

Spay/Neuter Benefits

Reduces cancer and other life-threatening diseases

Eliminates heat cycles in females and roaming behaviors in males

Reduced marking or spraying behaviors (done by intact males to mark their territory)

Save money – puppies and kittens are expensive!

Spayed/neutered pets are, typically, better behaved and more calm and affectionate than those that are not spayed/neutered
